Our committee members are dedicated individuals who come from a range of construction backgrounds. Our committee play a vital role in making Constructing Excellence Kent a success. They encourage and demonstrate collaborative working and inspire many others at speaking events and networking sessions to do the same.

Chairperson

Construction Consultant

Cheryl works across the whole supply chain, consulting with, and working to develop businesses across all sectors and disciplines, from main contractor to manufacturer. A constant champion for the construction industry and its development, she promotes best practice and collaboration, and she works with various organisations to attract future generations of talent.

Ellie is an experienced Project Manager with many achievements and interests involving supporting women in construction and career development. She won the G4C Future Leader 2022 South East Award and was a CIOB Rising Star Finalist in 2020.

Paul is the Managing Director of ECO MEP with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. His values coincide with his passion for accurate design and estimation, and is a face you need to know in Kent Construction.

Stuart is a Principal Structural and Civil Engineer at Invvu Construction Consultants. Taking on an array of projects, Stuart has extensive experience in multi-disciplinary aspects, with an interest in the rail sector.

The Digital Lookout

Connor, the Managing Director of The Digital Lookout, started the business with Sharon back in July 2021. A geek at heart, his technical abilities have seen him develop apps, build many websites and write bespoke code for system integrations and software solutions.

Charlotte is a senior project manager at the University of Kent. She is a huge asset to us in helping to understand a different client base and offering enlightening insights to the education sector.

Matt has extensive knowledge of digital technology within the construction industry, working with building owners, estate managers and their entire supply chain to help them understand their business requirements and align them with industry standard for a digitally built Britain.

The Digital Lookout

Sharon’s worked across many disciplines of marketing in her 25-year career. A self-confessed geek when it comes to her knowledge of building regulations and various standards, she is without doubt a construction professional, as well as a marketing expert.

David Smith

South East Consortium

David has been in the Social Housing Construction Sector for 13 years, leading new business teams in both an SME facades contractor and a National Tier 1. For the last 3 years he has led SEC’s partnership programmes. His team drives forward a range of initiatives on influencing solutions for the sectors future, including our PROSPECTs training and development work and events. Last year SEC trained 600 public sector staff. This year they are looking at ways to support and develop skills and knowledge in the supply chain.

Mark is a CDM specialist with over 20 years experience, and has interests in construction safety. He is BSI qualified and a committee member of London’s Association for Project Safety.

Jenner (Contractors)

Ella is the Head of Communications & Business Development at Jenner Construction Group. With over 15 years experience in the industry she has co-chaired the Kent Construction Focus Group – the largest industry support group in Kent as part of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, for the past 8 years. She is also part of various local committees including the East Kent Economic Development Group and the Kent Women in Construction group.

Having worked at Kier for over 35 years, Peter decided to start his own consulting business which he has successfully ran since 2015. He supports business owners in the construction industry with modern, expert knowledge and business advice.
